As part of our corporate initiative commitment to giving back to the community, the IT ExchangeNet team regularly volunteers at the Cleveland Kids' Book Bank. This initiative aims to support literacy among children and promote a love for reading from a young age.
About the Cleveland Kids' Book Bank
The mission of the Cleveland Kids' Book Bank is to foster literacy and a love of reading by distributing free books to children through collaboration with community partners. The book bank is working to ensure all kids in Greater Cleveland have books to build their own home libraries. A book in the hands of a child is a magical thing! Reading fuels imagination, teaches empathy, supports academic achievement, and helps parents build bonds with their kids.
Impact of Volunteering
Volunteering at the book bank instills a sense of community and social responsibility among our employees. By engaging in meaningful activities that directly benefit children in the community, our team members feel a sense of pride and satisfaction in making a positive impact.
Participating in such initiatives helps prove our company's reputation as a socially responsible organization. By encouraging teamwork and collaboration outside of the workplace, volunteering at the book bank helps in building a strong sense of camaraderie among colleagues. IT ExchangeNet team members are encouraged to bring new initiatives and causes into our team.
Future Plans
Looking ahead, we plan to continue our corporate social initiative by partnering with more local organizations that focus on supporting the community. By continuing to give back to our community in meaningful ways, we aim to create a positive impact that extends beyond our small team.
Overall, our corporate initiative reflects our core values and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. We are proud to be part of a community that values the well-being and development of its youngest members.
A special thank you to Joan Cook for connecting our team with the Cleveland Kids' Book Bank and Amanda Haws for connecting us with the Edna House for Women-Alcohol & Drug Recovery Program.
